The Book

You don't have to get up from your chair to change the direction of your life.

Choga is the gentle, chair-based practice I teach, now in a book you can keep beside your favorite chair. A full guided practice you can do from any chair, in as little as five minutes.

New to this?

You probably have a few questions. Good. Here are the honest answers.

These are the same questions almost everyone asks before their first class.

  • Do I need special equipment? Just a regular chair, the kind already in your kitchen or living room. Nothing to buy.
  • What if I have zero flexibility? Perfect. That's exactly who this is built for. We breathe and stretch at whatever range your body has today.
  • Is this only for older or disabled people? No. It's for anyone who wants a gentler way to move, at any age and any ability.

What to expect

Here's exactly what a class feels like

No surprises, nothing to prepare beyond a chair and a few open minutes.

  1. 01

    Take a seat

Literally. Settle into your chair, feet grounded, no mat required.

  2. 02

    Breathe together

We open with mindful breathing to settle the nervous system before we move.

  3. 03

    Gentle, guided movement

Seated stretches and supportive movement, paced for your body, not a demonstration to keep up with.

  4. 04

    Rest and reflect

We close with a dreamlike meditation, and many students leave feeling calmer than when they arrived.

As always, please check with your doctor before beginning any new movement practice. More about classes

Kind words

What students say

Words from students and community partners about VictoriAnn's yoga classes over the years.

“Victoria is not only an instructor she is a people person who is loving and caring to your needs. For instance, if you can't get into one of her poses she will go above and beyond to modify it so you can reach your upmost potential.”

Patricia G.

“Victoria is such a great teacher! She is able to modify the class for both beginners and advanced yogis alike! She brings a calming presence to the class, as well as some lighthearted and loosen-up quips that help you not take yourself and your practice so seriously and enjoy all aspects of the class in the best way possible!”

Lauren D.

“Victoria is a very competent and compassionate teacher. Perfect for beginners to experts. I absolutely love her!”

Amanda K.

“Victoria comes to our Community twice a month and our residents thoroughly enjoy their Yoga class. The room is always jammed pack and they are eager to get started. Highly recommend Victoria for all ages as I sat in her class as well and would love to go to her classes outside of work.”

Hi, I'm VictoriAnn.

I started YogaMobileStudio to bring yoga to people who couldn't get to traditional studios. Chair yoga captured my heart because of its accessibility, so I created Rehabilitation Choga, chair yoga for anyone recovering from surgery, illness, injury, or just dealing with life.

  • More than 25 years of practice, 16 of them teaching
  • Yoga Alliance certified Chair Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Breathing and Pranayama Teacher
  • Certified Holistic Health & Wellness Coach
